All the best to you in 2007. Starting a New Year is exciting with the new challenges ahead and the opportunity to exchange ideas. Communicating is our chosen field. We enjoy getting “out and about”, and sharing with our listening audience in 9-states and Alberta. The month of January offers numerous opportunities. First off the world’s largest livestock show the National Western Stock Show starts Saturday the 6th and runs through Sunday, January 21st. over the course of the 16 days we will have talked with numerous exhibitors, consigners and visitors from acorss the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South American, Australia and other countries. This our 48th year covering the National Western. 18 Beef Breeds, with over a dozen sales during the 101st NWSS, along with Quarter Horses and Paint Horses being shown and sold, record numbers of sheep, hogs and steers will be exhitited with the top placing animals selling at autction.
Bison sale, cattle and sheep dog trials, antique farm machinery show. Hundreds of commercail exhibits selling their wares.
And as a part of the entertainment there will be 23 Preformances of the Rodeo. And during the 16 day stock show stand, there will be the International Livestock Congress, the Rocky Mountain Agribusines Assn. 55 th Annual Convention & Trade Show to name a couple of off
campus events.
The three (3) day Colorado Farm Show follows at Greeley, and then onto San Antonio for the National Lamb Feeders and the American Sheep Industry Convention to round out the 4th week in January.
And the 31st. we head to Nashville for the NCBA, Cattlemen’s Beef Board, and the ANCW conventions.
